It's been a tad over a year since my original "Zombie" comic idea came to mind, and in that time I realized at least one thing: Zombie stories are incredibly over used and abused and that the original plot was so pathetically stupid and caused by a lot of peer pressure from friends that it failed majorly. I made about half way through the final draft of the chapter, and even now I can look at the pictures and how I arranged the views and panels and still get some ascetic pleasure. However, it was poorly duct taped as a story.

Hence why I stopped working on it so that I could have some fun and practice my lacking art skills on other projects *projects I ironically have laying down in my back room, waiting for me to get them and finish them up later*. After a lot of inspiration, and my eyes opening more in this recent year, I went back over the plot, scrapped it, and reinvented it as a short story with morals, and interesting character development (among a lot of other things). Thus, a story more about paranoia and people evolved from the original zombie concept *which was probably inspired a lot from Hellsing, Resident Evil, and 28 weeks later*. This story I worked on every page on and off, but still I worked until I was sure that I'd be satisfied with it whenever I looked back on it, regardless of how much I improve in the upcoming years.

By now your probably skimming past my words to finish this journal and find something more interesting to do, so I'll get to the point. The story's called Ragnarok, first because it sounds cool and not used too much *from what I've seen* and second because its an apocalyptic scenario, set several years after 2012. Now, I am sure you all recall whats been "prophycised" to happen in that fateful year sometime in December, but this story holds little to that. I personally don't really believe that, as people have been predicting the end of the world for...pretty much ever actually. So its nothing new. And you can argue all you want, but what as 2012 flys past and we're still here.

So, the story itself I worked on to be as original as possible, and I made sure to find as much critic as I could from my close friends *who in turn assisted in the plot to some degree or another* and I can finally say I know where it is, where its going, and where it will end up. Hopefully in a spawn of 10 chapters or less. I finished the first chapter completely, and once I finish this I will scan it and put it up; I warn that my scanner is crap and will certainly ruin lots of value as its done in all pencil, but please bear with me.I've been a little apprehensive about putting it up; I don't want someone to steal my ideas and all, but I realize what I've got probably resembles a lot of other stuff and it frankly doesn't matter too much. I hope from the bottom of my heart no one will take it, or else I'll be forced to hunt them down with some form of crossbow. On fire of course.

Well, I hope you who view this will all take a look at the 10 or so pages, and enjoy them. Give me some critique if you will, or even make my day with some complements. It's all good. I just want to thank my dear friends, because without them, I doubt I'd be motivated to work so long and hard on a project. I'll be starting the drawings for chapter two after Final's this week.
